Benoit has been involved in the Investment Banking sector for 15 years and was part of the founding team of Nexgen (Natixis Corporate Solutions), where he worked first on strategic equity transactions in Europe, and then created and developed the carbon business within that group as head of the Nexgen Energy Department. Benoit has executed numerous transactions for large companies and investors, including large utilities and renewable projects worldwide.
Benoit has graduated from the French Ecole Polytechnique and holds Masters Degrees in Finance and Stochastic Calculus.

Chief Executive Officer
William has been involved in the Investment Banking sector for 20 years. From 2000, he participated with Benoit to the creation and development of Nexgen, a banking venture which was successfully sold to Natixis group in 2006. He designed and executed a number of large strategic equity transactions in Europe before joining Benoit into newly created Nexgen Energy department.
William has graduated from the French Ecole Centrale de Paris in 1987.
Serial entrepreneur, co-founder of businesses in the energy, technology, and consumer goods industries, Charles has strong experience in corporate governance, business development, financial markets and fundraising.
After having worked in banking within the corporate finance and M&A area, focusing on the energy industry, Charles is currently a partner at ACE & Company, a leading global co-investment group, active in energy, consumer goods, and technology.
Charles has graduated from Babson College with a BS degree in Finance & Entrepreneurship and holds an MBA from INSEAD.
Ian is responsible for the planning and development of Wind and Solar PV projects to the point that they will be bid-ready to participate in the Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme (REIPPPP).
Ian has 10 years experience in managing and leading multi-disciplinary teams. His broad experience covers a range of endeavors, including project management, business management, event and sponsorship management. Ian has worked in the energy, telecoms, IT, marketing, and motorsport sectors in South African and Nigeria since 2003.
Ian is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®), the global standard for project management practitioners, issued by the Project Management Institute (PMI) in the USA. He is also a member of PMI, a member of the PMI South African Chapter and past member of the Institute of Directors of South Africa (IODSA), a professional institution for the development of knowledge, skills and competency as a Director of a Board.
Ian has also previously served as the principal energy consultant to Kopano Ke Matla Investment Company, the investment arm of the Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU).
Head of Field Operations
Cobus has been involved in the renewable energy sector for the last 3 years and was one of the first team members to join iNca Energy. As the Head of Field Operations, he is responsible for identifying suitable lands for Solar PV and Wind projects, negotiate with land owners and their attorneys for long term lease and ancillary agreements, liaise with Eskom for grid connection feasibility, liaise with local authorities and municipalities for the various relevant authorizations (water use rights, servitudes, Civil Aviation Authority approvals, rezoning, etc) and supervision of work to make sure it is done in agreement with land owner and relevant authorization body (placement and erection of masts, geotech studies, Environmental Impact Assessment, etc).
Previously to his involvement in iNca Energy, Cobus was a forester and forest products business owner and holds a BSc Forest Engineering from the University of Stellenbosch and a Masters in Business Leadership from UNISA.
